#294 - White Carpet

Today I was grumbling to myself about needing to vaccuum again. You see, some genius thought it would be a good idea to make white carpet. Not white white, but really light - definitely in the white family. And another genius thought this was a good neutral choice to put in this house.

It's neutral all right. And it shows every speck of lint, dirt, etc. (If it were up to me, I would pick a brownish (not too dark) color with specks in it. You can't see the dirt and you can't see the lint!)

So I find myself vaccuuming almost daily.

But then I remembered Elisabeth in Peru.
She doesn't have white carpet. She doesn't have carpet at all. Her floor is dirt...not dirty, dirt.
So today I am thankful for my white carpet. It's clean and I have the means to vaccuum up those lint pieces.

Oh dear... I'm one of those light carpet fans! BUT - only because with Nola and a man in the house, they track in a lot despite our no shoe rule upstairs (where the carpet is). I like it because I can see the dirt and lint and can get it up. Our couch is very similar to the color of yours, brownish greenish dark beigeish, and I make myself crazy over trying to figure out how dirty it is... you can blame me for your white carpet if you'd like! :)
