They woke up to find their dog Doogie couldn't even stand up. He's been sick for a while, and it progressed very quickly this week. They made an appointment and had him put to sleep in the afternoon. (They have had Doogie for 12 years). Even I was teary as it brought back memories of Newton.
Then....
My mom got home from a walk to find Keith doubled over in pain, holding his chest. After a quick ride in an ambulance to one hospital and then another, they determined it was a mild heart attack. He had a cardiac cauterization and a stint put in.
We are so thankful he is ok. He is still resting in a hospital in Michigan, and they hope to be able to return home today or tomorrow.

Jill, they are in my prayers... what an awful day?! Hoping that this week brings some better news.
I'm so sorry. Both events are awful. I will be praying for everyone involved.
