One month from today I will be on my way to Peru with a group of advocates for Compassion International...to say I am excited would be an understatement. This trip has been 17 years in the making, but it's all been in God's perfect timing. 17 years ago when I first became a sponsor through Compassion and first had the desire to meet my sponsored child, God knew it was not yet time for me to go.
The opportunity to go this year, with this team, to this country...it is truly a gift. I am so thankful for all the pieces that are coming together so I can go without any reservation or worry. For the friends who have stepped up and will help with the girls. For Kevin's support and encouragement - even his willingness to use some of his precious vacation time. For God's perfect timing.
I will share more about where I am going and who I will meet in future posts.
