I'm so thankful that I pursued a degree in music and that it fits into my life so well. Even now, when I'm not actively involved in a music career, I can enrich the lives of my own girls as well as the kids in our homeschool co-op.
I love teaching kids, and I love teaching music.
I am able to do both, and I enjoy it so much. I love exposing kids to excellence through music and discovering ways they can understand it.
Some favorites at our house right now are Peter and the Wolf by Sergei Prokofiev, Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saens and Vivaldi's Four Seasons (particularly Spring).

I did music at university too and one of my favourite things to do with my class is to expose them to classical music. I try and get the widest range of stuff I can because they are fascinated by everything when given the change. I think there is a reason that the Bible repeatedly tells us to "make a joyful noise"!
Great blog! Keep it up!
Your passion for music is contagious; kids have more fun learning with an enthusiastic teacher.
